Local Color Art Studio

Mosaic art has been created since ancient times. Join the movement! Once you accomplish your first piece, you will have the know how to mosaic any and everything. Each participant will leave with a stepping stone that should last forever. Grouting techniques will also be covered.

Pottery for all ages
These classes will be two weeks in length to allow proper time for drying, firing and glazing of the ceramic pieces. Various hand building techniques will be presented...pinch, coil and slab. Students will also throw on the wheel. In the second week, we will glaze the previous weeks pieces. Your childs endeavors will be brought home for everyone's enjoyment. Note: (Morning Session:Pottery classes begin at 9:30am to 11:30am) & (Afternoon Session: Pottery classes begin at 1:30pm to 3:30pm)

Painting with the Masters
Students will create 12" x 16 "paintings on canvas in the styles of the art world's best loved artists. They will be guided step by step, ending up with a unique, personal interpretation of several art masters such as Van Gogh, Georgia O'Keeffe, Jackson Pollack, Picasso, Peter Max and Seruat. We suggest students be 7 years old or older.

Tuition and Fees
Tuition: Full tuition refunds are available for cancellation up to 2 week prior to first class. All materials and supplies are included in the summer tuition fee. You will receive an acknowledgement by letter or phone of check receipt and then a confirmation letter as soon as a class has enough students to open (4). If a class does not open because of low enrollment, we will let you know ASAP and you will receive a full tuition refund.
